Hello from Victoria and Ejeai Dawson. Some of you may be familiar with our current situation, and some may not.

UPDATE as of June 2024: Ejeai is still having medical issues. We have been referred to 2 new specialists to see during the summer. Hoping for answers soon.

Last November 2023, my husband began having seizures with no clear cause, nor did he have a history of having them. We’ve had to call 911 multiple times, make ER visits, and see numerous physicians. He’s been through MRI’s, labs, scans, etc. The unpredictability of the seizures, and the current anti-seizure regimen he takes has caused both of us to take FMLA. He has just completed a 5-day EEG that we hope to give us more answers and options soon. We hope that this is just a small setback, and that the proper medical treatment will get our lives “back to normal.”

Our professional and social lives are on-hold. Our friends and family have been helping us with errands, meals, and visits. While we consider ourselves blessed, we are approaching a difficult financial time. Ejeai’s company is reviewing his transition from ST Disability to LT Disability, and I am on-leave from teaching, but without pay. We are asking for donations to help us with Rent, Medical Bills, Utilities, and Groceries. Any amount is appreciated. If anything, we ask that you please keep us in your prayers and send us positive vibes!
