Help Us Bring 200 Learning disabled, autistic and neurodivergent Performers to the Stage at Venue Cymru
Dawnsio Gogledd Cymru 2026 is an inclusive dance showcase that gives adults and young people with a Learning Disability, Autism or who are neurodivergent the chance to shine on a professional stage. Last year’s event was truly transformational — dancers grew in confidence, families cried with pride, and professional artists described it as one of the most meaningful projects they had ever worked on.
This year, we’re expanding from 150 to 200 performers across Môn, Gwynedd, Conwy and Flintshire, including a brand new 14–19 cohort from Canolfan Addysg y Bont. Throughout the autumn, dancers will take part in rehearsals designed to build confidence, teamwork and creativity before performing at Venue Cymru on 26 November 2026, hosted by Colin Jackson.
The showcase will feature ensemble pieces created with Dawns i Bawb, a Ballroom performance by World Silver Medallists (aged 12), guest artists Han and Fran (Britain’s Got Talent), live music from The Moniars, and co presentation roles for performers. All choreography, rehearsals and backstage environments are fully accessible, ensuring every performer can take part at the highest level.
For many of our dancers, this is their first time being seen, celebrated and treated as professional artists. Families tell us the experience is life changing. Performers tell us they feel proud, confident and part of something bigger. Professional artists tell us they learn new ways of working that change their practice forever. This event is not just a performance — it’s a celebration of talent, inclusion and community.
