Honoring Dawn Marie Sherburne: Beloved Mother, Artist, and Light to Many
Yesterday, we said goodbye to my sweet mother, Dawn Marie Sherburne (11/21/66 - 7/16/25). She was a radiant soul—a loving mother, surrogate mom to many, a Memé to her grandkids, and a talented artist who filled our lives with love and her stunning wood-burning creations, often depicting her grandchildren. Though her health struggles were many, her kindness never wavered. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and generosity that we'll carry forever.
Now, our family faces the unexpected financial burden of covering her cremation costs and bringing my brother home to say goodbye. We're humbly asking for help during this impossible time. Any contribution—no matter how small—will go directly to:
- Basic cremation expenses
- Travel costs for my brother to attend her memorial
- Any remaining funds will help settle essential bills and retrieve her belongings
If you knew Dawn, you know she'd be the first to help someone in need. If you're able, we'd be so grateful for your support in honoring her memory. If you can't give, we understand completely—sharing this or keeping us in your thoughts means just as much.
From the bottom of our broken but grateful hearts, thank you for helping us give Dawn the peace she deserves.
*Update 8/3-*
"Service date" keeps being pushed as we are still waiting for her death certificate to be completed so she may be cremated and returned home to us*
