Dawn's Fight For Life
Donation protected
Dawn Boyer is a wonderful, loving, caring and warm mother of 3. She has embodied her life through Christ. Dawn and her husband, David, are parents to 3 children: 19, 17 and 3. Her oldest is a nursing student at Ball State University. Dawn's second daughter is a junior in high school, actively involved in the theatre program.

Dawn and David's youngest is a child they had fostered from 7 weeks old. Because of Dawn's involvement, he has become a smart and fun toddler. They finalized the paperwork to become his OFFICIAL mommy/daddy on October 26, 2016.

On September 29, 2016, Dawn was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colonrectal cancer. A CAT scan revealed a large mass in the colon that was emergentally removed from her colon due to impending blockage/perforation. It also revealed 6 masses throughout both lobes of Dawn's liver, and one tiny mass on her upper right lung. A PET scan revealed several affected pelvic lymph nodes.

Dawn has lived her life helping out all of the people around her and made them feel welcome through listening, praying with them and being a reliable friend. She is an extremely strong person and very religious. She believes in embodying the Christian ethic and has faith in God's plan for her future.
Since the diagnosis, David has had to take large amounts of time off work, which is not paid time off with his employer. Because of that time off, they are having a harder time keeping up with their bills, while also having more medical debt mounting from the cancer (Chemotherapy, medications, hospital stays, doctors, etc).
All funds would go directly to Dawn and her family towards her insurance deductibles, medical bills and to aid her and her family with living expenses while they continue to fight the cancer.
I know for a fact that Dawn and her family would be grateful for any donations, regardless how small. She is a wonderful person, that I feel very grateful to be friends with. Her and I both would love to see her have more time with her family and newly adopted son.
Thank you for reading Dawn's story and hopefully being a part of it.
