Dawn's Boys

Hello, my name is Susan Teti. My best friend's dear sister, Dawn, was tragically murdered by her husband on October 29, 2022. Her sister has two sons, ages 18 and 24 years old, whose lives have forever been irrevocably altered by this sudden loss of their loving mother.

Dawn was a lovely, peaceful woman who was passionate about her sons and their musical talents; her photography of nature and wildlife; her practice of yoga; animal rescue; as well as gardening and home improvement. She was always actively participating in some home beautification project as her and her husband had been renovating their home over the past 5 years to truly make it their own.

The enormous loss that this family has to endure has been brutal and instant. The loss of both parents, their home, their pets, their security simply gone as they knew it. Luckily, they have the support of their extended family, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, and neighbors.

Her youngest son is now living with Dawn’s only sister, Kim and her husband, Tim. As grateful as they all are to be able to provide for him, the added financial strain is going to be a great challenge.

The goal of this fundraiser is to help pay for the cost of bills and living expenses for the boys who no longer have the financial support of their parents. While the cost of their parents finances will hopefully satisfy their own debts, there are additional financial challenges for the boys, who are just starting out in their own lives.

The family wants to be clear that they will only use donations towards the actual needs of the boys, therefore any unused donations will be donated to a local domestic violence shelter or non-profit, in Dawn’s name.
