Danny and I met working at a restuarant called Spike Africa's in Downtown San Diego. We were both loyal, hardworking employees. The estabishment was taken over by new ownership and without warning... to save money they decided to let part of the staff go. This included Danny and myself. No severance pay was given. And they denied us our sick pay as well. They handed us our last pay checks.. and that was it. For me; as server my pay checks were less then $100 because all of my money is made in tips. Since then, Danny and I have hustled to get bills and rent paid while looking for other work. We survived March but we do not have the funds to make our rent by April 1,  and get us through the rest of the month.  We need your help... Anything you can give makes a difference in our circumstances. This was a unforseen situation and we have come to the realization that without help we are at risk of losing our home. We are so grateful for all the love and support people have shown us in this time .. with kind and supportive words, treating us to dinner or just time with friends and family... THANK YOU!
