Dawn has worked for the Army as a civilian employee at the Army Burn Center and the Center for the Intrepid. She is veteran of both Navy and Army branches. Ten years ago she had a very difficult battle with breast cancer. We are lucky she beat it; however, she was re-diagnosis with stage 4 breast cancer this year that has spread to her lungs, bones, and liver. My friend and sister from another mama does not know when the government will pay her. She is struggling to pay for her medicines, medical bills and insurance since she was told to medically retire from a job that she loves. The government said they might pay her in 2 or 3 months but not certain. This year has been a challenge for her with getting chemo and having to deal with the side effects at the same time continuing to work, be a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, sister, daughter and survivor. Her mother had kidney cancer this February and her father is presently battling cancer adding to her strain. She has always been there for others, so I am asking you all to be here for her. Please consider making a donation so she may keep her insurance, pay her medical bills, continue with her treatments, get her medicines, and any essentials she may need to recover and kick Cancer's butt again.
