Hello, my name is Caitlin and I'm creating a gofundme for my best friend, Dawn Williams.
On September 6th, I received a phone call that Dawn was in dire need of transportation to the emergency room. After arriving we soon discovered Dawn suffered a brain aneurysm and there was bleeding on the brain. Dawn was then life flown to Billings Clinic (a trauma 1 hospital) in order to conduct an emergency surgery.
Dawn is a mother to 5 beautiful children, a wife, and a friend to many.
Dawn and her husband Joseph will be out of work for an unknown amount of time while dealing with this tragedy. They will need help with medical bills, household bills, and help with their travels and stay.
Donations of any amount are needed and appreciated along with an endless amount of
prayers.
All updates will be added to this page as they face this tragedy.
9/7/23 update
Dawn called me today and she FaceTimed the kiddos with Karen. Her head hurts and she is exhausted BUT she was fluently talking. This is a huge win.
She will be in the Billings ICU for another 2 weeks.
She was concerned about being gone for 2 whole weeks but both Karen and I assured her that everything is going to be taken care of.
We love you, Dawn!
Continue to keep Dawn and her family in your prayers. She is one strong woman.
9/9/23
Dawn had a rough night (9/8). She was in immense pain that resulted in another CT scan. The CT scan showed that everything is healing appropriately.
Dawn was surprised by her son Joe! This brought tears to her eyes but with his comfort will bring healing.
9/10/23
Dawn is speaking fluently and made her 1st Facebook post today updating and thanking those that have helped out. We also spoke for nearly an hour today and she has spoken to a few other fqmily members and friends. Dawn is expected to come home in 2 weeks, then return back for a 2nd surgery in 4 weeks. They will be placing a mesh tube (flow diversion) which will desert the blood flow away from the aneurysm. She will be placed in the ICU again after this 2nd surgery.
The headaches are still intense but she is doing much better than she was. Dawn is having a hard time remembering some things but full recovery is hopeful with time. Today was a great day for her! She even enjoyed a favorite treat with Jaiden - chocolate ice cream!
Joseph came home to take care of some paperwork and he will return tomorrow for at least a 5 day stay. Kids will resume school on Monday.
