Hello everyone. Still wrapping our heads around this as it happened so fast. No warning.

as many of you may know my mom got taken very poorly around 8 years ago with sclerosis of the liver and a bleed in her stomach which lead to having bands put Round some veins to stop the bleeding etc..

fast forward to last year may 2021 mom went very sick again and had a ruptured peptic ulcer in her stomach and she was soso strong she fought through that too. The nurses and surgeons can’t get over how much of a fighter she is. She was in hospital for a few weeks getting the medical attention she needed and ended up coming home around mid June 2021. Then on the 19th of February 2022 around 6pm mom had a funny turn feeling sick and sweaty and asked to be taken hospital.

we did so straight away thinking she may have food poisoning again and she will be home in the morning. That never happened. Mom was in the A&E waiting room then with in the next thing we know she is trying being treated in palliative care (end of life) with clots in her main artery from her liver to her stomach and bowels. And they wasn’t breaking down or budging at which resulted in her other organs not getting fresh blood and failing. Goodhope hospital done an amazing job with my mom and making her last precious hours as comfortable as can be. We love you so much mom x
