Hello all,
It’s never easy to write something like this about someone you love, and it’s never easy to ask for help, but here we are.
Dawn Leslie Schaller passed away on March 18th, 2020, at just 39 years old. There are no words to describe the heartache and turmoil we now find ourselves in as her family as we begin to come to terms with our new reality. Dawn was so much to so many: a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a friend...the list could truly go on forever. For those of you who are reading this and didn’t know her, please believe me when I tell you that she was incredible.
Dawn was an absolute light who could fill a room with her contagious laughter one moment and in the next, share a tender moment with a friend. She could make anyone feel welcome in her presence without fear of judgement. She was achingly honest about her struggles and her demons, and still somehow, we never actually thought we would lose her to them. Dawn was sweet, and loving, and tenacious, and she will be so completely missed.
Unfortunately, as we begin the process of coming to terms with our new reality, we are also now tasked with finding a way to give Dawn the memorial she deserves. So we humbly ask that if you are one of the countless people who were in some way touched by Dawn, or if you are simply a kind stranger who feels touched by Dawn’s story, we would appreciate any donation you can offer to help our family as we put Dawn to rest and begin to rebuild.
With gratitude,
Dawn’s Family
