We are the children of Donna Koller who was/is the proud owner of Dawn's Studio of Dance for over 47 years. Unfortunately Dawn has been battling pancreatic cancer for a little over a year and chose to do so somewhat privately not to inconvenience anyone. Regardless of our constant conversations about how she has never been an inconvenience she insisted for us to keep things quiet. It wasn't until more recently that we have been able to start sharing this heartbreaking news. Dawn has been a teacher, 2nd mom, counselor, friend, and mentor to thousands of kids throughout Gloucester for over 47 years... she was tough, but always fair. She was always one to give her shirt off her back for so many and never wanted or expected recognition for all her good deeds. Dawn has recently been moved to hospice in Danvers and unfortunately some of the medical bills have started to pile up and we have had some unexpected hardships knock on the door. With her end of life nearing her husband Greg could use some help clearing up some of these hardships that he is facing. Whether it's a dollar or 10, anything would help immensely. Dawn has never been one to ask for help for herself but, I know she wants to ensure her husband is taken care of after she leaves this world. We know if she knew we were even doing this gofund.me she would beat us kids but, everyone needs help sometimes. Your kindness, prayers, love, and memories are greatly appreciated.
