Help is needed to fill Dawn's RX, ASAP! Please read on...
For those who know Dawn, you’ll remember she was diagnosed with Leukemia just over two years ago. At that time, She experienced a stroke and later a brain hemorrhage from the chemotherapy treatments only to be followed by a severe case of pneumonia and a fungal infection in her blood.
Through lots of rehab, prayers, RX meds and the power of God’s goodness, she has done well, but is still not able to work. She continues with treatments and prescriptions that take a toll on her physically and are a financial burden.
One medication called CRESEMBA, that she has to take, is outrageously expensive at $6000 for a 30 day supply. Her COBRA coverage was paying a good part of that, but it has run out and the cost with her new insurance is $4000! Her RX runs out next week, and they don’t have the means to pay for it. This is URGENT.
The Out of Pocket Maximum on her current insurance plan is $8150, and they are ½ way there. After this maximum is met, with this refill, the insurance will cover 100% for the rest of the year.
Any help towards this next refill would be so appreciated. Allan, her husband, says “This is a humbling experience …we have made it two years without the need for outside assistance (other than professional organizations and insurance companies) but now those resources aren’t available for this”.
