This is my beautiful sister Dawn Eversole. She has recently found out she has breast cancer. During a routine mammogram tests showed a right breast mass. After more investigation, Dawn was

diagnosed with malignant

neoplasm of a axillary tail of the right breast estrogen receptor positive HER-2.

Doctors recommend immediate treatment since this is a very aggressive type of cancer. Treatment includes six months of 4 different types of chemotherapy intravenously for six hour sessions. In addition to an extra boost of five tablets throughout the month.

immediately , following chemotherapy, Dawn

will undergo test to confirm the progress of the chemotherapy. Dawn will undergo a complete mastectomy, and a removal of several lymph nodes. Following her surgical recovery Dawn will need a round of radiation. All in all treatments should last at least 18 months.

Dawn is a longtime resident of Winlock and has happily raised her family here. With different jobs throughout the community, Dawn and her family have certainly left their mark on many of us.

Dawn has a long hard battle ahead of her but as you know even with insurance, the cost of medical treatments, surgery medication and other expenses add up quickly.
