Help Thomas Steffen’s family with their loss

On Wednesday evening my friend Thomas (15-years-old), was involved in a head-on collision with a semi-truck. Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene. Thomas was a great friend, he always lifted everyone's spirits. He was the type of person you would call when you were sad, because, even the sound of his voice would make everything seem better. He was always kind and welcoming to everyone, and was always willing to offer you a place to stay and feel safe, when you had nowhere to go. The same can be said about his mother Lisa, who has always treated each and every one of his friends like they were her own child -making sure we were all fed, safe, and well taken care of. Please help Lisa and Thomas's little sister Sierra, get through this with all the love and support you can give. Because that is what Lisa gave us, and that is what she taught Thomas to give. We (Thomas's friends) are all trying to do what we can to honor Thomas, and help relieve some of the burden, in efforts to make this unimaginably difficult time, a little easier on his mom and sister. There are so many great things to be said about Thomas and the person he was, but there are no words that could even begin to describe what having him in our lives meant to us. So “everything” is the most adequate word I can think of, but it is not good enough. There are no words to describe the devastation that we are all feeling.
