Dawn Anderson Fundraiser

God knows I didn’t want to have to come here begging again, and obviously the fact I have to is abhorrent. But I have stage 4 lung cancer and cannot work. I was in the middle of a paid transcription project when I got the diagnosis 10/31/24. Soon I couldn’t finish the job because my right arm had gone numb from the tumor pushing on the nerves. It’s also pushing on my spine, and I’m in a lot of pain.

Tim is now taking care of me full time by necessity, and we’re living on my social security (he won’t be eligible for himself until later this year). It pays the rent, and so far my insurance is covering all the medical costs because it’s the government and I’m poor. (Let’s hope that arrangement holds out long enough for me.)

I’m being cared for in Arizona now, but I hope to return home at some point, based on my ability to travel.

What we need now: gasoline for almost daily appointments; GROCERIES; money for internet, utilities, phone, and car insurance; various health items and medications not covered by insurance; personal care products; and lots and lots of all your kickass power, thank you,
