Dawlish Gardens Trust started as a small charity based at Langdon Hospital in Dawlish, working with adults with a learning disability whose role it was to maintain the gardens.
In 2003 the charity moved to the current site and has become a fully operational nursery in which horticulture as well as cooking, craft work, wood work, conservation, music, site maintenance and small mechanical repair tasks have become part of the daily routine. DGT has built its reputation on being a forward thinking charity with a real sense of community. Our main focus is always on meeting the individual needs of our attendees to facilitate their independence and develop their life and employability skills. We believe that promoting a healthy outdoor lifestyle can help to reduce stress and anxiety and that this in turn develops an increasing level of engagement.

DGT has a great team of trained staff and volunteers who are always seeking ways in which they can extend and improve the service they provide, proactively and successfully responding to changing client needs and abilities.
Your donation will help us in this quest.
