In Memory of Davin Reid

It is with extreme sadness, that we announce the passing of Davin Reid on October 12th, 2023. Davin was a beloved father to 3 girls, a dear friend, and dedicated coworker.

Davin was a Correctional Officer, working at the Sudbury District Jail since 2018. His hobbies included his love for golfing, and mixed martial arts. He was a long-standing member of Sudbury MMA where he will also be greatly missed by his peers and teammates. Davin was a loyal friend who was always putting other people before himself. He was a bright spark in this world, and he will be remembered for his ability and passion for making people laugh.

Above all else, Davin loved his children. His hard work and dedication to his job was driven by his desire to provide for his daughters. Those who knew him know that all he wanted was for them to have a happy childhood, and a successful and fulfilling life.

As Davin’s children were his whole world, funds are being raised to help Amanda (Mother), Karah, Kayleigh and Alisha (Mother) and Arya during this incredibly difficult time, to help aid them in pursuing their dreams, and to uphold his legacy.

We know that Davin will be watching over them and will be so proud of what they achieve.

A celebration of life will be held in his memory in the coming weeks.
