Hi Friends!
I have come across an incredible opportunity to fill my gap year that I want to tell you about! I will be doing a six month Discipleship Training School (DTS) through YWAM (Youth With A Mission). Their heart and their mission is to Know God and Make Him Known, I will be apart of a the DTS called Fire & Fragrance. This specific DTS focuses on cultivating an all consuming Fire within us for God! In walking with God and the Holy Spirit our goal is to become like the Fragrance of Christ to the broken and lost. For the first 3 months I will be training for missions and taken deeper with God, learning more about Who He is. In these beginning months I’ll be staying on the Big Island, in Kona, Hawaii, on a campus called the University of the Nations. The University of the Nations is special because it is the headquarters to all of YWAM, which is a global ministry, and therefore it attracts a larger population of students & is the most popular location to listen to and meet guest speakers from around the world. The second three months will be a mission trip to Greece to help relieve the refugee crisis. With a team of 13 amazing people I will be serving 6 days a week in a refugee camp taking care of the people flowing through the camp. The refugees will be coming from all over Syria and the Middle East, we'll get to welcome them in after they've traveled for days or weeks after horrific life changing events during the war. I feel so honored to get to bring relief to so many people in an intensely tragic situation. Practically we'll be cleaning rooms, bathrooms, clothes, we'll be serving food, and organizing relief stations. On top of that though we get to make friends, answer their many questions, and share our hearts about who Jesus is in our lives & explain that's why we're helping them... AHHH I’m so excited!! I have always had missions on my heart, but more specifically I’ve always wanted to reach the people who’ve never heard the name Jesus!
I am thrilled specifically for the focus of the DTS- Fire and Fragrance. I get to set my heart upon God personally and along with a group of people after the same thing, allowing His passion to burn within us & cultivating the fragrance of His goodness! My heart longs to be trained in fulfilling these dreams then embarking on them! I am writing to ask you to help support me along this journey! I’d love for you to partner with me either financially or just in prayer!
If it is in your heart to helping and supporting me financially along this journey I would be ridiculously grateful! I need a total of $2,500 for the rest of my outreach fund as soon as possible! I leave for outreach in a short 3 weeks, so please, feel free to give as much as you feel lead!

The Fire and Fragrance DTS is designed to raise up students who prioritize the presence of God as the source of everything they do and launch them into the nations to partner with and plant communities that carry this same value. We believe that through intimate communion and whole-hearted obedience we will see the power of God displayed and have effective outreaches with long-lasting fruit!
Imagine communities all over the world – closed countries, slums, refugee camps, orphanages, urban centers, university campuses and remote villages – walking in a dynamic marriage of prayer and missions. Such communities have shaped history, and we want to see it happen again!”
