David Witty's Traumatic Brain Injury

Donation protected
On May 29, 2018 David was working on a project from a ladder when it slipped out from under him. We don't know how high he was when he fell (he still can't tell us). As a result of the fall he sustained massive head trauma, which is going to take several months (if not longer) to recover.  When David was working on this project he was alone. We don't know when exactly it happened, his wife and son were trying to get a hold of him for a few hours. His daughter called him later and he answered not making any sense, saying random numbers and words. At that point a lady picked up the phone on his end telling us she found him staggering around, so she called the ambulance. The spot where he was laying was a big puddle of blood that had dried up some, which tells us he was probably laying there for a while unconscious.  Skip to almost 2 weeks later, he is at in patient rehabilitaion working with 3 therapists 15 hours per week (Occupational, Physical and Speech). He seems to be doing a little better everyday, talking more and more, but it has been a very slow process.  The doctors say it could take up to a year for a full recovery, but they can't say for sure.  Being as he is the sole source of income and the country's current insurance situation, they have a high deductible and no money coming in to pay the deductible along with all the other monthly household bills. He owns his own company, of which him and his wife are the only employees, therefore his work is not getting done. In his current state he can barely communicate let alone work. Add other financial burdens from owning his own business and you can see why we are asking for help. Any and all help is appreciated as David has a long road to recovery. The whole family has a long road ahead of them. Thank you so much for your prayers and support!   3 days after the fall, in SICU (Video below)
