Hello, I am David. A few weeks ago, a massive oak tree fell on my house and damaged my roof. My grandfather built this house when he returned from the Army after WW2. So it has the original wiring. Because of this, nobody wants to insure the house and I don't have the money to repair the roof.

To make matters worse, Saturday, June 8, 2024, while I was on the roof trying to cut the tree down so that I could try to repair the damage, the mail lady pulled up and started blowing her horn. I climbed down to see what she needed and I had to sign for three certified letters. One to the estate of my late mother, one to the estate of my late aunt and another to my aunt who is still here but does not have her full mental capacity.

I opened the one to the estate of my late mother and was shocked to learn that the county is planning to sell my grandfather's house in a tax auction on July 18, 2024.

I am trying to raise the $10,000 to pay the delinquent taxes and another $1,000 for supplies to help repair the roof. I work but much of my money goes to my wife's expenses due to recurring brain tumors. If we lose the house then we absolutely have no place to go and will be homeless.
