David is a really good friend of mine who I’ve fished with on several occasions. His passion for the outdoors and bass fishing is very inspiring as I too have that same passion. But what really inspires me about my good friend is passion for Christ and his captivating positive attitude. His willingness to provide help for anyone in need whether it be physical needs, spiritual needs, or just plain ole fishing advice has always been what I like most about David. David has helped me through tough times when my Dad has been in the hospital, my mom was sick with cancer, or if I just lost confidence in fishing he would always lift me up and get me back on top of my game. Unfortunately at this time David is unable to provide much help because he is in dire need of his own help. David is struggling with some things now and needs our help. Most people are aware that David had a kidney transplant a few years back but what they don't realize is he did it without health insurance. You can only imagine what this cost but I watched him take care of every bit of it over the years. Just the upkeep on that transplant with medicines, labs and doctor visits runs about $7,000 a year. He has had a little trouble with it over the years and run up a bunch of medical cost with that also. David owns a business in Panama City and we all know what happened down there on October 10th of last year and no it didn't end well for him also. Now just a year later after he has clawed and worked his way back from that he has ruptured a disc in his neck and is being told he is going to have to have neck surgery. He has already been out of work and has not been able to guide on the lake for 7 weeks now which has cost him some substantial income. He still does not have health insurance and this surgery is going to be very expensive and they're expecting him to be out of work and guiding an additional 3 months. All through this you would never ever see him without a smile on his face and willing to help anyone in need. He has made it through all this with very minimal help and did not ask me to do this now. Matter of fact I have been trying to do this for him for over a year and he has shot me down every time. I just want to be able to take some of this pressure off him because Lord knows he has been under some. As the saying goes many hands make for light work. There is enough of us out here that if we all just do a little bit it would make a real difference at this time of need. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for your consideration in helping my good friend!
