Welcome to the Go Fund Me to support my amazing dad, David Contreras with his unexpected medical expenses related to his recent stroke and cancer diagnosis.

My name is Annalise Contreras, and I am the proud daughter of David Contreras. For those of you that don’t know my dad, he is a very respectable community member of Nome and probably delivers your UPS packages.

On June 20, 2023, my dad had a stroke in Nome. Since then, he has been seeking emergent medical attention at Providence in Anchorage. A large mass was detected on his thyroid in the CT scan they took of his head and neck after the stroke. It is with heavy hearts we share that our beloved father, brother, son, uncle, friend, and DJ, was recently diagnosed with papillary thyroid carcinoma, thyroid cancer. His treatment will be a thyroidectomy to remove his entire thyroid. This is an extremely expensive treatment that isn’t fully covered by insurance and we appreciate any donation, big or small.
