David’s Fight Against Cancer

Earlier this year my brother David was a healthy, strong, normal young man; working hard, as so many young people do, to achieve his goals and balance a full time job while taking courses at his local college. All of that was halted one day when he began experiencing a series of troubling symptoms. What, at first, seemed simply odd, became increasingly worrisome as he was rushed to the emergency room. After numerous scans and tests, doctors discovered that what had caused this sudden onset of symptoms was a tumor embedded in his brain. David was diagnosed with Grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma, an aggressive form of cancerous tumor. Since then he has begun treatment in his hometown of Las Vegas and has undergone his first round of chemotherapy and radiation. 

The purpose of this fund is to aid David in his fight by helping with the financial aspect of receiving the best medical treatment available. He has been blessed with the opportunity to receive treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix Arizona, where he was offered a wider variety of treatment options. This fund will not only help with the medical bills incurred during his treatment but also with paying for the travel expenses from Las Vegas to Phoenix, and for everyday care as he is unable to work or drive at this point in time. 

David is truly an amazingly humble, selfless and loving human being who is deeply loved by his family and friends. His faith has been truly remarkable through this entire ordeal, and has only solidified his dream to, not only beat this cancerous tumor, but enter into the priesthood and share his faith with others.
