David Robert McLain (born September 7th, 1999) committed suicide on June 5th, 2016. Statefarm Insurance has decided that they will not pay the entirety of the life insurance policy because the death was suicide. Now, his family is facing $14,000 in debt to pay for his burial and funeral service. His father's employer is also trying to raise funds but the projected amount falls well below the needed amount. All funds raised will be put towards paying back the funeral home (Buck-Wheeler-Hyland in Belvidere, Illinois) and the cemetery. My family has untill July 1st to pay the funeral home and cemetary.
David was a student at Rockford East High School and was a member of a local band in the process of signing a contract with Fearless Records. He also enjoyed graphic design and art in general as well as history. One of his greatest talents, however, was baking with his specialty being lemon meringue pie.
David is survived by his parents (Alan and Julie McLain) and siblings (Bradley, Rebecca, Logan, and Micheal). This family does not deserve to have to struggle with financial trouble in this time of grief and pain. Any ammount given would be greatly appreciated by his loved ones. The visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11th at 4pm to 7pm and the Funeral will be held on Sunday, June 12th at 11am, both at the Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel in Belvidere.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please consider giving any amount to help ease the financial burden in this tragic time.
Sincerely:
Bradley McLain
