David's Cancer Medication & Miscellaneous Expenses
David loves to play Fortnite. He is a really nice kid, very polite, and a very responsible big brother. Unfortunately, David was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma in March of 2019. A tumor had started to grow around his epididymitis, which was later removed with surgery.
A follow-up surgery took place as well, to remove his lymph nodes.
On top of this, David will be undergoing 6 months of chemotherapy and a very expensive medication will be needed, which our insurance does not (choose) to cover.
The cost is amazingly high - $7,000 for a 7-day supply for one of them (Neulasta). We are not getting coverage from our insurance for this one.
The alternative to Neulasta is a medication called Neupogen, which has a $5,000 price tag. The good news is that our insurance can help us with this one, but we would still have to pay approximately $3,800 out of pocket.
And David will have to take either of these drugs at least 3 times during the course of his treatment, so the math adds up to around $11,400 on just those medications alone.
Anything you can contribute to this goal will be deeply appreciated!
