I created this gofundme page for my brother David.
After 3 years of setbacks that included job losses, high medical bills as a result of one son's repeated hospitilizations, and loss of their home, the future of the Eason family finally seemed to have brightened. Following weeks of intense training, David had completed his CDL liscensure and secured employment in March with PAM Transport Inc.
Then catostrophy struck. In Milaukee on April 5th 2016, inside the cab on the semi, David suffered an extremely serious and bizarre injury, breaking his femur and badly damaging his knee. David was days away from advancing from internship to team driver status and weeks away from becoming eligable for health care coverage with PAM Inc. Incredibly, the trucking firm almost immediately denied workers compensation. On April 9th David underwent a lenthy, complex reconstructive surgery on his left leg.
With no health insurance, many months of rehab ahead, and concerns about the long term prognosis for healing of the leg David, Amy, and their two sons need help. Amy's employment as a receptionist barely covers half the living expenses, let alone astronomically high medical bills. The cost for a week in a skilled nursing facility alone is stagerring. Aggrivating the financial plicht is David's incapacitaion for months ahead.
