David Avram's Fund

A few years ago Dave was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma in his leg.  After many radiation treatments Dave had succesfully combatted cancer and was on the road to recover.  A few months ago Dave's leg started to misbehave, and after several visits to the doctors it wasn't until a few days after Christmas we discovered what the culprit was.  Dave's cancer was back, and this time it had spread to his abdomen causing a week long stint and emergency surgery in Denver.  

I had the pleasure of picking Dave up at the airport after he got back to San Diego.  Two things he said on that ride home devistated me.  
 
- "I must have been a real dick to someone to deserve this"
- "This is going to bankrupt me"

So what better way to both help Dave avoid bankruptcy and remind him that he has always been a caring and giving person to all of his friends.  Dave faces more radiation, then chemotherapy, and the eventuallity that he will have to go on and survive on disability while he battles for his health.  

Dave has always been there for me, and is the friend you would call if you needed to be bailed out of jail.  Thankfully I don't believe he has had many of those calls, but it's always great to know you have that friend.  I'm creating this campaign, and all proceedes will go directly to David to assist with both his medical bills and his cost of living while he battles to be healthy again.
