David's Motorcycle Accident Recovery
Donation protected
David was in a motorcycle accident Saturday, June 13 in Fremont, In. He was flown to Parkview regional. David has several injuries including some fractures, a brain bleed and a spinal cord injury being the worst.
David had surgery June 14th on his back. The surgeon confirmed he had a severed spinal cord and they have fused vertebrae T1-T7 together. He currently cannot feel below the nipple area and will be in a wheelchair. The brain bleed has heeled on it's own. He is now going to in therapy and will be transferred to Parkview Randalia for inpatient therapy and will remain there for a couple weeks. Only time will give us a better idea of when he can return home. Due to Covid we are not allowed to visit him and may not be able to see him until he comes home.
In the meantime we are trying to make his home more easily accessible for him. The main things we are trying to get done is making his bathroom more accessible to him as well as build a deck with a ramp on the front of his house. He has several friends already taking care of his yard for him which is a huge help. We will also be doing other small things to make life a little easier on him. Any donations will be to help with this and to also help with the medical bills he is incurring.
We continue to ask for prayers while he recovers and are appreciative of everyone offering to help out. We will need help to do these renovations so if you are willing to help please reach out to Markie. He will also need lots of support and would love visitors when he is able to come home.
