David Wolden Benefit

Our good friend David Wolden was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) in late November of 2023, it is a life threatening form of bone cancer that prevents the creation of mature and healthy blood cells. David has faced many health related challenges in the last several years, but this most recent bout with cancer has placed David and Dorothy on a path of many unknowns. Despite the seriousness of David’s condition, Dorothy and family and friends are prepared to walk by his side through the difficult journey ahead. On a positive note, David’s medical team has identified a couple of potential stem cell donors and plans are underway to have a stem cell transplant at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. Dorothy and David plan to live in Rochester for 3 to 4 months after the procedure is complete. Although David has good medical insurance, it does not cover room and board and living expenses after the procedure. This GoFund me appeal will serve as an opportunity for anyone who would like to help Dorothy and David ease the financial burden that goes along with an extended stay and treatment at the Mayo Clinic.
