David Trevino cremation and hospital expenses
Donation protected
UPDATE: 6/24/2022 — unfortunately today David Ray passed away around 1:20pm. He went peacefully listening to his favorite Taylor Swift. Please give my mom space during this time, she will reach out slowly as she copes. I just want to say thank you again to all of you who shared this gofundme and donated. Every ounce of effort made my mom able to afford this extremely unfortunate circumstance. Feel free to reach out to me (Rachel Lazanas) if you would like a further update
At the end of April, David woke up sick. He was extremely jaundice and we quickly discovered he was in liver failure. Over the past two months he has been in and out of hospitals and dealing with dialysis to keep his kidney function well enough in attempt to make it to transplant day. His health has declined very quickly and we are now facing hospice. He is home now and expected to pass fairly quickly.
I am creating this gofundme page on behalf of him and my mom, Kelly Jenkins (his partner). This has been an extremely expensive journey with more expenses to come. I am hoping to give them some relief with cremation coming up. If anyone can spare even $5 we would be extremely grateful.
As of right now David is resting and has no idea this is going on. But I do know he would be extremely grateful for each and every one of you if he was aware. I will update you all as things progress. Thank you for reading this far.
Here is an added message from his sister Janet: My brother David Ray and Kelly came to Colorado from Michigan 10 months to be with their daughter Rachel and grandson Johnny who was 2. They lost Johnny recently right before his third birthday. He would have been 3 on May 5. Without being able to fully recover from their tragic loss, my brother took ill. My sister in law Kelly has depleted her savings account caring for my brother. Yesterday we brought him home from the hospital and me and Kelly have become his hospice nurses. David Ray does not have much time and we have to start making arrangements for his funeral. We have decided to have my brother cremated and I am asking for any help I can get to help my family with these arrangements. I know it is tight for everyone in today's economy. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance and I am asking for continued prayers for our family
