Yes, I have graduated high school! No, it doesn’t really feel that different. Not yet. But the last couple of years I’ve really been growing in my faith in Jesus and I’m excited to announce that I’ve been accepted into a Youth With A Mission (usually called Y-WAM) in England. I prayed about this a lot and believe that this is where God is calling me. So here’s the important info and a request for action asking you to consider any graduation gift as support of my mission:
WHO: David Teel
WHAT: YWAM “Ignite” Discipleship Training School with an emphasis on using sports to impact and reach people for Jesus (3 month Lecture Phase equipping me to be a missionary, followed by 3 months Outreach Phase).
WHEN: Arrive in England on September 23, 2018. Return March 12, 2019.
WHERE: Discipleship Training School Lecture Phase is in Harpenden, England, about 35 miles northwest of London. The Outreach Phase is TBD but likely one of these five locations: Uganda, Greece, Albania, Turkey, or Jordan.
WHY: To grow stronger in my faith and to impact people with the love of Jesus.
HOW: Pretty much with your help, generosity, prayers, graduation gifts!
I’m trying to raise at least $6,000 (USD) to have enough to cover the costs of transportation (airfare to England), accommodations at YWAM for the Lecture Phase (built in cost: 1950 British Pounds), Outreach Phase (built in cost: 1300 pounds), Outreach Travel, Visa, Vaccinations (between 400-900 pounds).
ACTION: Would you pray and consider giving a financial gift of support or graduation gift or anything to help me reach this big goal?
