David Sykes remembrance charity pool event

In memory of David Sykes co-founder of the Holme Valley pool league, we will be holding a charity pool event at New Mill Working men’s club on Saturday, the 5th of April 2025 at 1 pm start. For any player young, old or retired members who wish to attend, entry fee will be £10 and all proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK and Crohns and Colitis UK. All entries will close on the 15th of March 2025 at 12 noon.

David Sykes loved his pool and snooker and if this event is successful, the family would love this event to continue and be an annual event to help support both charities. On the day of this event there will be food, a trophy for the winner and runner up. We will accept donations on the day and hope to have the community spirit to support this day being successful.
