David Stanbridge : Road to Recovery & Liver Transplant
Donation protected
Hi there, we are writing to you today to help raise funds and awareness for David Stanbridge.
Noticing a decline in his health in late 2024, David went for a few tests and sadly learned his liver wasn’t functioning properly & was diagnosed with liver disease February 20th, 2025. We are currently awaiting more information from his doctors, but anticipating David will be placed on a donors list very soon for a partial or full liver transplant. Blood type matching is a necessity for liver transplants, and with David being a rare type O negative, he is a universal donor, but can only receive a transplant from someone of the same rare type, O negative.
Born & raised in the St Catharines & Niagara Falls regions, David overcame cancer at very young age. He had a kidney removed at 3 years old due to a cancerous tumour called “The Wilm’s Tumour”, he also received chemotherapy & radiation. Being the strong individual he is, we know he can get through anything, but we need your help.
David & his wife Lisa met in 2003 & married in 2012. They welcomed their first child, Robert in 2014 and their second child, Vedder in 2016. David is a very proud father, spending lots of his time travelling for Robert’s basketball tournaments & watching his beautiful daughter, Vedder in her dance recitals.
David has been in the service industry for several years, proudly being an employee of Bugsys #1 Pour House & Filling Station since 2004, making many friends along the way. His wife Lisa works full-time as a teacher.
With all the time David & Lisa need off from work, travelling expenses, child care & recovery time, we are asking for you to please donate, an amount of any kind would be helpful. If you are unable to donate at this time, please share the link to help spread the word, and help us find a potential donor.
Let’s get David back on his feet, home to his family, and serving the people he loves at Bugsys.
Thank you. ❤️
