Davids story,
David started out with what we thought was just a very bad cold or posibly bronchitis,so I told him I was going to make a dr. app.for him he had this cough that was just aweful and so deep I had never heard him cough like that before ,it scared me .He then told me he had ate a soft pretzel about two weeks prior to that and it felt like it was either stuck right above the chest area in his throat or something ,he said it felt like all his food was just laying there .So the dr. app. was made and he went that morning the dr. sent him right to the hospital due to his heart not working correctly it is called Afib the top part of his heart was just fluttering and the bottom was working correctly ,so he left there drove home and had our Daughter drive him to the hospital we were also told he had Pneumonia so I thought that was gonna be it we get his meds . and he would feel much better ,not the case they told us he was being admitted and he was not down in the Er long at all after I got there they had a room and took him right up ,then the tests began they told us he would have to stay at least a week to get the pneumonia under control .a few days later the dr, came in to tell us they found something in his lung and they were going to do a biopsy and that it could be lung cancer .so they did the biopsy and his dr. wanted to see him ,so he went in I was at work ,and on Oct 26th 2016 I was told on the phone my husband has lung cancer ,my heart broke ,I never imagined I would ever have think about not having my best friend at my side and now all these emotions come rushing thru my head and the tears began and have not stopped to this day ,we were going to go to knoebels that weekend ,but the dr. told us they would prefer us to stay close to Davids Dr's here and not 2 hours away .So we did,the family dr. setup everything with the cancer dr. for the next day .so we had no clue what to expect I took off work to be with him ,we arrived and the paperwork had to be done asap ,they called us back and the dr. came in and proceeded to tell us David has stage 4 lung cancer and the tears continued ,he told us that this is a very aggressive cancer and they were going to admit him back in the hospital that afternoon to do more tests and get ready for chemo ,and to put a port in his chest ,we asked what kinda of chances he had without chemo he told us a month or so would be all he had without it ,because the cancer had already spread to his liver and on the bones so this was moving very quick .the chemo started the first round was in the hospital and three more rounds to come .I pray everyday to keep him here as long as the good lord will allow .it has been a very tough road not something we ever dreamed of facing ,he has lost his beautiful hair ,it has come back somewhat but now we face the radiation and he is getting sick not wanting to eat ,we have struggled trying to find anyone to give us insurance and we still have no insurance ,and the medical bills are getting bigger and bigger $ 7000.00 at time some of these bills and then $5000.00 where does it end and even more have come since those .We have never had to ask for help we have always been the ones helping others ,we  put this off and put it off cause we did not want to have to ask ,but now we have no choice and we pray each and everyday we survive another together and keeping our love going ,trying not to be so burden with bills we move forward and keep our faith .May God Bless each and everyone of you and keep loving your family never give up .I being his wife pray god has a plan for us .
