I am organizing this Go Fund Me page on behalf of a dear friend, David “Chuchie” Sklar. My family and I have known Chuchie for over 15 years and find him to be a kind, funny, caring and giving man. He has spent many years volunteering his time in various community activities such as : soup kitchens , detox faculties, section 35 program, mentoring troubled young men who find themselves going down the wrong path and many other community programs.
Chuchie is the type of person to give you the shirt off of his back and is always there to help a friend or a stranger.
Chuchie was recently diagnosed with Liver Cancer. He is scheduled for surgery Monday November 23rd at the Lahey Hospital in Boston to remove 30 % of his liver .
The recovery time is expected to be 8 to 12 weeks.
I created this Go Fund Me page to help pay for the medical, travel, and living expenses that he will incur while fighting his cancer. We understand many of us are in a difficult predicament due to Covid-19. Any support, however seemingly insignificant, is helpful and deeply appreciated .
