Everyone's favorite guitar tech, David Pate, has a professional career spanning decades with artists such as: King's X, Joe Bonamassa, Bad Company, Buckcherry and currently with Sevendust.  During the current tour, David became ill and was not getting better, even with antibiotics.  Unfortunately, he was hospitalized on Feb 18th in New Haven, CT.  Undergoing countless testing procedures, he was finally diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia.  He was released and cleared to fly home to Houston to begin cancer treatment but had a setback moments before boarding his flight home and had to be hospitalized once again in New Haven.  It's now been 17 days; he's had a reaction to some medication and remains hospitalized until the proper meds and strength are rebuilt to make the flight home. Hairy Cell Leukima is a very rare form but, is also most prone to remission and healing.  Dave will be back doing what he loves with guitar in-hand.  He has amassed hundreds of friends through his touring career and could now use the help he's offered to so many others.
