I'm raising funds for my friend David Padgett after catastrophic and historic flooding hit McCaysville, Georgia, and neighboring Copperhill, Tennessee, following a rare 100-year storm event on November 5, 2026. David's home was flooded, and the damage has turned daily life upside down for him and his family.

Right now, David is caring for his mother and aunt while they stay in a Red Cross-provided hotel. Along with the flood damage to the house, there has been significant loss of personal belongings, including clothing and furnishings. This has left David trying to manage both the practical damage to the home and the immediate needs of the people depending on him.

Donations will help David repair the flood damage to his house and replace essential personal items that were lost. Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, would mean a great deal as he works to recover from this disaster and care for his family during this difficult time.
