On Tuesday, November 3 my father fell very ill and was taken to Knox Community Hospital. Within hours of arrival he went into cardiac arrest and coded for 2 minutes; and by God’s grace was brought back. We later learned that he tested positive for Covid-19, which was the cause of his medical issues. He was later life-flighted to Mount Carmel East and diagnosed with double pneumonia and heart failure caused by the virus. He will likely never be the same as it did permanent damage to his heart. He has a long road of recovery and rehabilitation. Aggressive CPR given at the hospital led to broken ribs and sternum. He will need 4-6 weeks off to fully recover. 
 
As many of you know my father built a successful car detailing business, serving Knox County for the past 32 years! He is extremely prideful and would never ask for a hand out. My father has always been the one to lend a helping hand to others. I know he is worried sick about losing his business and paying his bills. He has dedicated his entire adult life to building and sustaining Terrifi-Kleen Auto Detailing, located in Mount Vernon. He does not need the extra stress and worry during this time of healing. As sick as he has been he continually expresses concern on an ongoing basis about losing his employee, Josh, and not being able to offer him monetary support during this difficult time.
