David Mobley's House Fire
Donation protected
Hi Friends,
Those of you who know Kate Mobley know she is a woman of integrity and generosity. She lives her principles of service and she shows up for us, not just during times of celebration, but also during times of hardship. These principles are the lived legacy of her father, David Mobley, and now he needs our help.
On Saturday, October 25th an electrical fire started in David's basement--luckily he was home and awake to catch the smell of smoke and alert the fire department or he would have lost the entire house. He is lucky to be alive and eager to rebuild from this loss. While the house is still standing, there is extensive work to be done, and he has very limited means to recover from this massive loss.
Currently, David doesn't have running water and is living in the house with power only provided in fits and starts by a generator. There is vast structural and electrical damage that needs to be addressed in order for his home to be inhabitable. He most immediately needs funds with which to initiate the repairs, and any small amount counts and would be appreciated.
As Kate is far away from her dad in Indiana, we are looking for ways to rally her community and the people whose lives he has touched over the years who would like to contribute to his recovery. Please consider donating, it's a way for us to show up for a woman who has always shown up for us.
