David Miller’s Cancer Journey

Dave is a life-long resident of Bellingham, dedicated Ashland town employee, loved son, brother, uncle and treasured friend to many.

Recently, Dave developed symptoms that caused significant alarm and caused him to seek emergency medical care that resulted in a diagnosis of cancer. Specifically, mediastinal germ cell tumor, also known as Thymus cancer. The tumor is pressing up against a major artery, the superior vena cava. 

Dave will be receiving a series of chemotherapy treatments over the next several months, which at the end, may require surgery. Dave has completed his second round of treatment and the impact has been challenging for him to navigate, as he has otherwise always been a strong, healthy, self-sufficient, independent person that is typically the helper and not the person in need of support.

Dave will not be able to work during his treatment and recovery and this has caused significant financial strain. We are hoping to offset some of his costs by fundraising.
