Hello. My name is Victoria Miller. I am 31 and currently living with my Elderly Parents. I assist them with groceries, housework, and making breakfast. As my mother takes a lot of medicine for general poor health, Psoriatic Arthritis being at the top of that, I also help keep her pills organized.
We are a close-knit family, and I love them dearly. When I had a nervous breakdown and needed help recovering, they put all of their issues aside and cared for me without making a fuss. Words can't begin to describe how much I appreciate them.
That's why seeing them suffer during the Covid-19 pandemic is unacceptable to me.
Because of the pandemic and how it's affected the economy, their pension is terrifyingly low. My parents rely on that for food shopping, paying bills, making sure they can buy any medicine they need, and any other expenses they may need. My father was going to have heart surgery a few months ago, but that needed to be postponed. Finally, the building we're currently staying in has been sold, and we need to move as soon as possible. A relative is planning to rent out to us, but as it stands, we don't have the money to make the initial move. Between that and mounting hospital bills... the list goes on and on.
Right now, the best I can do to help them is reach out to as many people as I can. If I can raise at least $75,000 I can help them get out of this slump. All funds will go directly to helping move into the new house, along with paying bills and just, going forward until their pension is back in a state where its safe to use.
They have done so much for me. They saved my life, they took care of me when I needed them, and most of all, they loved me, solely for who I am, and helped me learn to love myself. I love my mom, Joy Miller. I love my dad, David Miller. I want them to be alright in these dark times, and through the grace of God and our savior, Jesus Christ, I believe that this is the first step to giving back to them.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please, donate what you can, and keep all of us in your prayers.
