Dr. Matsumura was a graduate of Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University Hospitals in 2000. In addition, he completed fellowships in Geriatric Medicine and Nephrology in 2002 and 2004 respectively. He has been an important part of the Cedars-Sinai family for many years.
Dr. Stuart Friedman, David’s long-time friend and partner, reminds us that Dr. Matsumura’s “quality of care was superb” and that no one was “more dedicated, kind, or trusted by his patients.” We have all lost a truly gifted physician who was admired and valued. We will miss him more than we can express.
