David Marshall Stage 4 Cancer Fight

Donation protected
My name is Cindy and I'm fundraising to raise money for life saving treatment and daily needs for my 35 year old son, David and his young family.

David was unexpectedly diagnosed with colorectal cancer in August of 2016. After major surgery to remove a large tumor and a 6 month "clean up" dosage of chemotherapy, we unfortunately discovered that his cancer had progressed to stage 4 and metastasized to his lungs. That's when the real battle began. David, his wife, and two very young boys started fighting with natural and alternative treatments. They received several second opinions at reputable cancer hospitals and ultimately decided in January of 2018 that picking up and moving to Houston, TX to be near MD Anderson would be the best decision. The opportunities both mainstream and natural would be endless. Over the next couple of years my son and his family have had a rollercoaster of ups and downs. They faced stable tumors, growing tumors, and more metastasized tumors in the lungs, pelvic tailbone, and the liver. MD Anderson provided many different radical clinical trial treatments that left his body wounded and weakened. All throughout this he never stopped working, he never took a day off, and worked so hard that he even found himself in management positions, running crews.  All throughout this, his wife never stopped researching, she never stopped finding natural treatment, and together they continued fighting.

In July of 2020, David started experiencing changes in his circulation and mobility and the pain began. By October, his body began to complicate things for him. His leg was swollen, his energy was down, his weight was dropping, and the daily pain left him limited. In November, he found himself in the ER to not only find out that his cancer had spread to his L4 and L5 of his spine, but that the doctors also found 3 tumors on his brain. Two days later, his leg went into full mobility paralysis but he can still feel all of the pain.  David, the sole provider of his family, as his wife stays home, tends to his medical needs, and homeschools their children, was now physically unable to work and zero income would be coming in. Zero income to continue natural, alternative treatment, supplements, food, rent, truck payments, utilities, medical debt, insurance, gas, household needs, everything.

The day after the new diagnosis, I packed my bag and flew to Texas to help tend to this sweet family's needs. Since November, his wife and I have been scrambling from sunup to well past sundown to care for him. Around the clock treatments and supplements and several exhausting rounds of radiation. David is a fighter. His strength is unlike anything I have ever seen. He is heartbroken that he cannot provide for his family like he wants to. David's faith and determination are his testimony. He is truly inspirational. Yesterday we found out that he has 9 new brain tumors and will undergo whole brain radiation. We adamantly believe in natural treatment. We have seen how it works, we have seen how it keeps cancer stable, his immune system strong, and how it works against the cancer, despite tumor growth.

We are believing in a miracle but we know they cannot do this on their own. We humbly say that any donation small or large is greatly appreciated. David and his family need to stay in Houston for the opportunities. They left their entire family and support behind them in NY. Although they have found support where they are now, it is critical that they are able to stay and have the funds to live AND to fight this cancer. We ask for healing prayers, prayers of endurance and hope, and prayers for financial provision. What I am asking for is six months of provision for them to stay in their rental and not have to move where there is limited resources to fight cancer, and I'm asking for provision for natural treatments to continue. It is seemingly impossible for them to fight without our help. Many of you have generously been helping this young family already, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts but we are not done yet! They still need us!!

Here is a breakdown of their needs and why I am asking to meet the bare minimum of 60k:

Natural Vitamin IV Therapy: $4,700 a month at $235 a day, 5 days a week.
Healthy Organic Food: $1,000.00 a month
Rent: $950.00 a month
Truck Payment: $285.00 a month
Utilities: Averaging $330.00 a month
Medical Debt: $110.00 a month
COBRA Insurance Continuance: $500.00 a month
Supplements/Other Natural Treatments: Averaging $1,000.00 a month
Gas to appointments: $200.00 a month
Household Needs: $200.00 a month

These bring 6 months to approximately $60k.

***Two much larger things to consider are:
MD Anderson Medical Debt: $65,000.00
Hope For Cancer Treatment in Tijuana, Mexico: $50,000.00
