Donation protected
I'm Laurie Coe MacIver and David's my husband.
On October 12th early morning and I found him unresponsive. He couldn't talk or tell me who I was. Just a Blank stare and sweating profusely. I called 911 immediately as he started having a Grand Mal Seizure.
He'd had a severe case of the flu with high fever and major bodysweats..shaking violently for over 10 days. He was taken to Baylor Hospital on Gaston and was in ICU for 2 weeks on temporary kidney dialysis. They then discovered he had Congestive heart failure and Afib both. He had an Infection in his liver and blood both. He almost died, but we believe the power of prayer saved his life.
He was in the hospital a month and now he's at Baylor Rehabilitation Ctr for a month. He's also been diagnosed with Guillaume Barre Syndrome which is a rare autoimmune disease that causes your body to attack its own nerves causing severe muscle weakness. He's a fighter but has a very long haul ahead of him. He has to relearn how to walk again and gain his muscle strength back. He's lost 40 lbs and is incredibly weak.
David's an energy broker and straight commission. If he doesn't work he doesn't get paid. It's going to be a long time before he can work again. I feel like I'm in quicksand daily, worrying about how to pay for everything we're facing. Our overall monthly expenses and now medical bills on top of it. Please keep us in your prayers. Thanks so much for your help. I feel desperate.
God bless you all.
