Respectfully, on behalf of David Leyva, Judith Leyva, and children,
We are making all possible efforts to help raise money for David’s medical and related travel expenses for his family. On September 1st he was scheduled for a routine gallbladder procedure near his hometown. He immediately had complications and has required multiple surgeries after facing other major organ failures. He was put on life support right after. After 9 days at the previous hospital, he was transported to Via Christi in Wichita, KS, and after 3 weeks there, his body became septic. He continues to be on life support to this day.
Oct. 13, 2020: Day 43.
We pray he is not in pain. We pray his body keeps strength. We pray he awakes.
David is a husband, father of 5, son, brother, uncle, and prior to this, a healthy 33-year-old. Hospital restrictions, with respect to Via Christi Covid-19 and ICU policy, has kept us from being with him overnight in the ICU, and has left us feeling tirelessly helpless.
All funds raised will go directly to David’s medical costs and related travel and living expenses for his wife and children.
We appreciate and thank you in advance for the outpouring of love, prayers, donations, and support shown over the past few weeks and undoubtedly, in the months to come.

Estamos haciendo todos los esfuerzos posibles para ayudar a recaudar fondos para los gastos médicos y de viaje relacionados de David para su familia. El 1 de septiembre estaba programado para un procedimiento de vesícula biliar de rutina cerca de su ciudad. Inmediatamente tuvo complicaciones y requirió múltiples cirugías. Comenzó a enfrentar otras fallas de órganos importantes y se le puso soporte vital de inmediato. Después de 9 días en el hospital anterior, fue transportado a Via Christi en Wichita, KS y después de 3 semanas allí, su cuerpo se volvió séptico. Continúa recibiendo soporte vital hasta el día de hoy.

Oramos para que no tenga dolor. Oramos para que su cuerpo conserve la fuerza. Oramos para que se despierte.
David es esposo, padre de 5, hijo, hermano, tío y, antes de esto, un saludable de 33 años. Las restricciones hospitalarias, con respecto a Via Christi Covid-19 y la política de la UCI, nos han impedido estar con el de noche en la UCI y nos han dejado sintiéndonos incansablemente indefensos.
Todos los fondos recaudados se destinarán directamente a los gastos médicos de David y los gastos de viaje y manutención relacionados de su esposa e hijos.
Apreciamos y agradecemos de antemano la gran cantidad de amor, oraciones, donaciones y apoyo mostrados durante las últimas semanas y, sin duda, en los meses que vienen.
