David is dealing with some very serious medical challenges and will in all likelihood continue to do so in the days to come. That said, his spirit is indomitable and we fully expect him to recover and be the bright light in our lives again soon.

In his recovering, David will no doubt be limited in his ability to work and will likely be off for a period of time where he will need to focus on healing. It is expected he will have medical costs and other costs related to his health. As well, the family will need to continue to pay their bills etc.

His work has been very supportive over the years and remains that way. However, he will need support above and beyond what any one group or person can provide.

David believes in community and has always been there to support the many communities in his life. He is the most loving person and in this time we are asking his community to support David, Lauren, Animkii and Kai while he recovers.
