David & JJ's Fire Rescue

Hello, this is Jen writing for David & myself.... Sat Sept 24th, sometime between 6:30pm-6:45pm, our home blew up and burned down. Our Covid-temp living situation lasted a bit longer than we had planned or expected... it has been quite the challenge living and working out of a trailer and going back & forth to storage sheds & units to make it all work over the past 2+ years.

While we were gaining momentum to (finally!) start moving forward to a "real" living space, our current home went up in flames.

Fortunately, neither David or myself, or our beloved cat, Bowie, were home or inside as it went down. Generally, Saturdays are my day to myself while David works, but I ended up picking up a shift..... thank goodness, or Bowie and I would have likely been gone too, as the fire initiated on the end of trailer where I would have been working on computer, or more likely, been playing my video game, watching tv, eating, and napping.

We are so grateful to be alive. We are saddened and dumbfounded by the loss of all of our most personal belongings, along with all of our work stuff ---

Yes, most stuff can be replaced, but it doesn't take away the sting of being stripped of our "inner physical world" -- Personal AND Professional.
