David Howard, a beloved friend, husband, father, brother and uncle, passed away on Fri. Oct. 9. He was killed by a reckless driver while he and his wife, Jacque, were on their way to Me & McGee Market to buy some flowers to enjoy this fall.

David was a career educator, positively influencing countless students and teachers with his wit and warmth as a history teacher and assistant principal in Cabot schools.

In keeping with his generous nature, David was also an organ donor. Even in the face of this terrible tragedy, he is sharing the gift of life.

Such a tragic loss brings not only emotional pain, but also tremendous financial stress. In addition to funeral expenses, the family will be burdened with medical expenses for Jacque's hospitalization and recovery. Many of those who love the Howard family have reached out to offer support and ask how they can help. Any amount that you are able to contribute to assist  the family financially during this time would be greatly appreciated.

David and Jacque were also going to provide care for their twin granddaughters, June and Cleo, who were born in August to their son Kevin and his wife Melanie. Any funds that are not used for the funeral or Jacque's medical expenses will go toward unexpected childcare expenses for the twins.
