David Henneman Igenex Lab Lyme Test

Thank you for taking the time to read this. David has been ill for the past 3 months and has not worked. He has very many of symptoms of Lyme Disease that I had 20 years ago. I went through a nightmare of 2+ years to get properly diagnosed. I had 3 negative tests for Lyme, David has had 1. The problem is that there is a 40% false negatives with standard lab tests. There are only 2 labs in the US that are the gold standard for Lyme testing. One of those is Igenex Labs in Palo Alto. After 2+ years I was tested at Igenex and both tests were positive, so then I could be finally treated. I was under treatment for 5 years. I would hate for David to go 2 more years or more with being properly tested for Lyme. Lyme disease attacks your brain, central nervous system and your heart. It has hundreds of symptoms and it is one of the hardest diseases to diagnose.
David's health insurance plan will not pay for a Lyme test at Igenex. The proper Lyme tests will cost $1200. I have raised $300 privately, so if we can raise $1000 here, David can get tested. This way if he is negative, he can rule it out, but if he tests positive, he then can be treated.
David is suffering. He is profoundly fatigued, unable to work, and pretty much house bound. Not sure if it's cfs, Lyme, or some other illness. David's regular family doctor is clueless and won't refer to specialists. David is also seeking treatment through an integrative care clinic which is expensive out of pocket, and not sustainable for too long. We will raise money for that if needed, after we get him properly tested for Lyme.
Please contribute what you can even if it is as little as $5-10-20. Everything counts and it will add up! You can also remain anonymous if you like.
