David Harper Memorial College Fund

On April 19, 2020, a normal Sunday afternoon quickly became tragic as David D. Harper Sr., suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. David stood at 6’9”, and by default would always garner attention when he entered a room; but it was what he did with the attention that made him so special. David was playful, kindhearted, intelligent, and always willing to do for others. While family meant everything to David, he seemed to make family wherever he found himself.  So, David was never short of people who loved and cared for him.

   While I could go on forever about David's personality traits which made him the person we all loved, I must stop. The main purpose for creating this fundraiser is for the son David left behind, David Harper Jr.  David Jr. is 4 years old and was by far the most important thing in David's life! Now while David Jr., like his Dad will probably go on to receive a scholarship for college, we still would like to have a back up plan. In dedication to David's memory and legacy, we have decided to start a fund for David Jr.'s college education. All proceeds collected will be placed in a Regions Bank College Fund Account.
